Charles Hargrove is a former missionary pastor at the Wishram Community Church. Recently he was diagnosed with life-threatening brain cancer and was forced to get retired from his job after serving as a missionary pastor for over 12 years. Wishram is a small community in the Washington state of The United States of America where Hargrove is well-known among his people. Everyone who knows him felt really sad after hearing of his medical conditions. On the other hand, Charles was completely the opposite. He was very optimistic and cheered up to utilize his retirement.
Charles is having his treatment at the VA hospital in Portland and has undergone several chemotherapies, radiations, and shock treatments that would reduce the growth rate of cancer promoting cells. Charles had decided to utilize his time of retirement and he has decided to continue his old hobby of woodworking. He is building a wooden tool cabinet that is designed to feature the carpenter pencils on the front doors. For achieving his small goal, he seeks some help from the carpentry committee to get some pencils.
His daughter Amber Lennox wrote a letter requesting everyone to help his father achieve his goal. They were seeking nearly 100 carpenter pencils. But the carpentry community showed great enthusiasm and they received over 200 pencils from all over the USA. To accommodate all the pencils Charles had modified his tool cabinet and now seeks to have more carpenter pencils to showcase on his cabinet.
