We are delighted to share that Family Counseling Services/Family & Children’s Society and our collaborative partners have been awarded $1.64 million to establish the South Central Behavioral Health Care Collaborative (SCHUBERT). On Thursday, Governor Como announced the three-year award that will help the partners of the SCHUBERT transition to Value-Based Payments and create a network of local providers that can truly have an impact onThe SCBHCC includes 33 behavioral health providers, primary care and other medical providers, community-based organizations as well as the support services community throughout an eight-county region. Family Counseling Services/Family & Children’s Society will serve as the lead agency. The partners will be working together to transform behavioral health care services and other supports into an integrated, comprehensive system of care that results in healthier people, better care, and lower costs. Strengthening the collaboration between physical and behavioral health services will be a top priority for the collaborative.

The SCHUBERT
represents a full spectrum of regionally available mental health and addiction services and will work to address identified gaps in services by seeking additional partners who offer those services and working with current partners to expand available services. local populations by providing quality care that results in better health outcomes.
