RAM Pricing

We have already seen how wild speculation about the RAM resource on the EOS network has slowed the entry of new dapps since the price is no longer affordable for many developers. To prevent this problem from happening on this new blockchain, the Telos Foundation is going to intervene actively to ensure a fair price for everyone; especially for developers.

Slow RAM Releases

This blockchain is going to launch with 12Gb and block producers will slowlly release more RAM as it is really needed. That will flee away speculation over the RAM resource because prices will fall dramatically every time more RAM is released, so there's no much room for speculation.

Published Guidance Pricing

Telos Foundation will publish a fair price for RAM every two month but it will be just a sugested price. The free market will decide the final price that will fluctuate arround this published guidance price. The Telos Foundation will then act like a central bank, selling RAM is the price is too high and buying RAM is the price is too low. This way try to stabilize the blockchain RAM resource cost which will allow developers to budget their projects.

First Million Accounts Are Free

As you may know, in EOS blockchain you can create as many accounts as you want as long as you pay the RAM where the basic information of the account is allocated. That means that the account creation has a cost. in Telos this cost will be zero for the first one million new accounts which will encourage adoption.
