Cardless at the ATM?

in #cardless10 years ago (edited)

Banks are rolling out NFC and other tech at ATMs to work with smartphones..

Several major banks in the U.S. now support the use of a smartphone to withdraw cash from an ATM. In addition to using NFC or a numerical code to authenticate a transaction, some bank ATMs are expected to rely on scanning a QR code displayed on a phone. The growth in cardless cash at ATMs is ironic, given that mobile payment technology is designed more for payments at stores, on trains and other locations with a quick swipe of a phone and without the need for cash.

But, wait there is a Problem...

What if we don't have solid money anymore and pay only with the card and e-money? What if you have the money in you're phone and it gets stolen? The Government will say: "Then it must get to a safer place" and you know what will be next.

They want to chip us, they will put a barcode on us and I don't think this is good, because then the Government will have the control to everything. You need money to live and if they make everything to seem like it is working perfect and then bring a crisis, everyone will be starving!

It may sound unreal and like from a action-fantasy movie or science-fiction, but you never know what someone may do to take and keep control of the People in a Country. So be aware and prepared. I don't say it's not a good and smart way to pay, that is also easy, but everyone should be prepared and use the new way of paying with care and thinking.
