Hero army officer chases and catches crash suspect after day of Remembrance drills in full uniform
The man was detained after a four car pile-up in Liverpool.
The hero officer was praised by police for his quick thinking after yesterday’s incident.
Paramedics, ambulances and fire crews and police attended the scene of the smash.
Merseyside Police took to Twitter to praise the Army officer.
They said: “It’s fitting, that on 11/11 the [alleged] offending driver in this RTC [road traffic collision] ran away and was caught by one of @BritishArmy finest (in full uniform after ‘drill’ today ready for tomorrow) & detained until Police arrived/arrested. Superb work! Thankfully all minor injury in the collision.”
