VISIBILITY OF KUMBH MELA

After every twelve year million of Hindus celebrate Kumbh Mela. This is the festival of the Urn. The Kumbh Mela located from riverside cities i.e., Nashik, Ujjain, Haridwar and Allahabad(Pragaya). Million of people bath in holy river to wash away sin and gain a chance to start from beginning. The year 2011 was the miraculous year in Indian history because the gathering of around 75 million people visible from the space. On an average single post office serves a population of 7,100 people. The FLOATING POST OFFICE in Dal Lake is the one of a kind in the world. This Post Office is built on carved maroon houseboat. Now the FLOATING POST OFFICE moored on the western edge of Dal Lake.

This post office provide all services available in the country while being afloat. This heritage post office exists from the time of Britishers. Before 2011 it was called as Nehru Park Post Office. But after 2011 chief postmaster John Samuel re purpose it and rename it as FLOATING POST OFFICE. In August 2011, this post office launched by Chief Minister Omar Abadullah. The FLOATING POST OFFICE is tourist friendly and remains a great . Many people don’t know about this. Even people of India are not aware of this AMAZING FACT.

Yes, on Moon water was discovered by INDIA. In September 2009. Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) Chandrayaan- 1 had detected water on Moon at a height of 100 kilometers.

INVENTION OF SNAKES AND LADDERS

The game we all have played in our childhood is SNAKES AND LADDERS. This game was originated in Ancient India. Earlier it was known as Mokshapat or Moksha Patamu. Saint Gyandev was the founder of this game. SNAKES AND LADDERS focused on life as a soup so luck and skill. In 19th century, colonial rulers took this game to England. In 1943, Milton Bradley introduced this game in U.S.A. with a name Chutes and Ladders.

HUMAN COMPUTER- SHAKUNTALA DEVI

SHAKUNTALA DEVI was an Indian writer as well as a great mathematician. People call her “HUMAN COMPUTER”. She was born in 1929 however in a poor family in Bangalore. She and her father used to live in a slum area. Her father was a circus worker however could not afford her monthly school fees of Rs.2 thereby she dropped out of school. At the age of 3, her father reorganized her mathematical skills. Therefore Devi’s father taught her all mathematical operations including multiplication, square roots and division.

Then at the age of 6, she gave her first major show at Mysore University which changed her life. Later in 1977, she calculated the 23rd root of a 201 digit number at South Methodist University in Dallas. Likewise the professor wrote problem on board in 4 minutes but she took only 50 seconds to solve it. Afterward she made more records. Moreover her name was written in Guinness Book Of World Record because in 1980 she solved multiplication of two 13 digit random number and took 28 seconds to solve. She is not only a great mathematician but also a role model for students.

WORLD’S BIGGEST FAMILY

The family of 193 members. The man with 39 wives, 94 children and 33 grandchildren. This family lives in a village called Baktawg in Mizoram. ZIONA is the head of the family and was born on 20 July 1945. This is the biggest family in the world. His first wife is Zathiangi. She controls all the household activities of the family and everyone respects her.

As the family is so big, likewise their house is also big. The family of 194 members lives in a four-storied mansion. His young wives stay close to him on ground floor. All the family members gathers at 5:50 A.M. for prayer, dinner timings are 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. according to age and the lights switch off by 9 P.M. This huge family consumes 100 kilogram(220.5 pounds) of rice, 60 kilogram(132.2 pounds) of potatoes and 39 chickens daily. ZIONA is now looking for more wives even from U.S.A.
