i have a small clicking noise on my 2017 land rover when i accelerate. Its not impairing my performance its just a clicking noise i dont want any ideas?
I'll need some more info. Does it happen with the vehicle moving only? Will it make the sound as the engine revs up regardless if the vehicle is moving or not? Is the clicking noise speeding up with speed or steady?
So i noticed the clicking noise happens while the car is on. When i accelerate its a touch faster. Perhaps fan belt? Fuel injector? I just st need to take it in it’s covered so i dunno
It could be an exhaust leak. Normally an exhaust leak would make no impact on performance, but I believe your SUV may be turbocharged. If so, an exhaust leak will loose exhaust gas pressure before the turbo. It won't hurt the motor, but a loss in exhaust pressure will degrade the performance of the turbo and thus loss in power. While the engine is running, open the hood and try to listen around the exhaust manifold where it meets the motor.
Another trick is to use a piece of hose. Use the hose like a stethoscope. Hold one side to your ear and probe the other side to pinpoint the noise.
Here's an easy one... How often is it to get your tires rotated in miles or in time ? When i had a jeep i had these big mud terrain tires they were 35's and i think i wore them down in about 2 years but never really rotated them Is there an industry standard on rotating tires to maximize tire life as well as not having to get alignments done as well...
next question is... do i have to get an alignment everytime i rotate tires?
Here is the dilemma, if you rotate tires regularly as prescribed, you may not notice that you have an alignment problem. Usually, alignment issues are due to worn bushings. If a vehicle is new, and you don't have tire wear problems, there is no need for an alignment. With alignment issues, you will find that the tires will wear on one side. If you wore those tires down in 2 years without rotating them and the wear is even, then high frequency of tire rotation is not needed. In fact tire rotation is intended to maximize tire usage and allow the tires to wear down at the same rate. New cars these days have better built suspensions and tire wear due to alignment issues isn't as bad as it once was.
Now, if you are modifying a vehicle with large tires, you may find a tiny amount of misalignment or tire wear will get magnified. Take the time to rotate the tires because I know those large tires can be costly.

hah. thanks I will take it in for a check up under warranty and let them do it and then ill report my findings to you. :)

Yea about $220 a tire then the spare never gets used and when u have to replace 4 u have to replace the fifth lol
haha picture is very funny :)
I do not have a car yet :( I will take it in the future and consult you
Thank you, I will be waiting here if you get a car and have a question.
I just upvoted and resteemed your post @socky
But can your community solve all the car problems?
I mean all...
I can't solve all problems, but I can give it my best shot.
in the 2nd pic i think he can easily save the car by using a snooker in the intake system , he lokks so cool hope he made it.
I just found that picture. It would be nice to know what was going on there.
