I drove my vehicle for more than 5 years without any maintenance of the cooling system and decided that it is about time to do something. First the cap of my car cooling system needed some repair. I replaced the ring for better seal
Then I bought a product for radiator flush from a local gas station and pour it in the cooling system. I drove some time to circulate it in the system and allow it to do its job.
The location of the radiator petcock on my car is hard to reach so I decided to unclamp and remove the lower radiator hose. ( Danger, this must be done on cool engine!!!)
I also bought new quick clamp that allows for installation in tight-fitting or difficult-to-reach areas.
I drained the old coolant, connect the hose and fill the radiator with water. Then ran the engine for about 20 minutes. I repeated the process and finally put new coolant in the system.
