Identical Packs

I have been in the auto industry for a good number of years, as a driver, as a DIY'er, in motorsports and a bunch of varying capacities. The one thing i can tell you is that Murphys law is in full effect when it comes to the mechanical workings of cars... in fact the term "Thats motorsports" is based on the very principal that "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong". You can have the most reliable vehicle that you have ever owned, and when you need it the most.... it will have an issue.

This is even more evident when you are pushing the limits on a race track or even a street driven high performance vehicle. There will always be an equivalent exchange when modifying the way something operates. for instance, the more performance we get out of a motor, the less long term life we are likely to get from said motor. Sometimes that trade of can mean items on a vehicle "let go" sooner and at inconvenient times.

This is why its always a good idea to prepare for the times that things can and do go wrong. However , taking garage full of tools every outing is less than convenient and its not likely all tools would be needed. So, an Emergency Tool Pack is a great way to keep the essentials to get you out of a jam. While these packs are a work in progress and will continue to grow in time, there is enough there to help in a variety of situations one may find themselves in.

Inside Out

Whats In The Emergency Tool Pack

  • Stanley knife
  • Needle nose pliers
  • Serrated blade
  • PVC tape (100mph tape)
  • Allen key set
  • Multitool (credit card style)
  • Vacuum line joiners (straight & tee piece)
  • Fuses (3x all major amps)
  • Bag of rags
  • Socket set (4mm - 17mm)
  • Zip ties
  • Screwdriver (multi head)

Not Pictured

  • LED torch
  • Swiss army pocket knife
  • Matches & lighter

Future Additions

  • Ring spanners (8,10,12,14,17,22)
  • Hose clamps (4x 25mm, 64mm, 78mm)
  • Hose lengths
  • WD40 Mini can
  • Multigrips
  • Work gloves

With all this gear in tow you can bet your bottom dollar that you will be able to handle almost anything that car life throws at you, even if you don't have a performance car its good to have these kinds of things on hand if anything happens.... for yourself or for helping people you find along your travels.

There are items which are not in the Emergency Tool Pack as they don't fit in the bag, but are in the vehicle (we will get to them in time), but this here is the meat and potatoes of the "the show" when it comes to the emergency tool pack. Being prepared is more than half the battle in the situations, and it takes more than just on bag of tricks, but all the components are easily tucked away in glove boxes , center consoles, spare wheel wells and under seats.

Thats about all i can think of for this particular pack/set, but it seems pretty comprehensive so far, feel free to let me know if there is anything im missing from the pack that should be added. but for now my Emergency Tool Pack is organized and ready for action should anything happen.... stay frosty out there ;)
