El Lamborghini Huracán Performante mejora en muchos aspectos al Huracán estándar, fruto del trabajo de los técnicos de la marca italiana. Gran parte de su evolución parte de un kit aerodinámico mucho más efectivo que cuenta con un paragolpes delantero renovado con tomas de aire más grandes, así como un radical alerón trasero que por sus dimensiones y diseño se convierte en el epicentro de los sistemas de aerodinámica activa de este modelo. También hay algunos cambios en su difusor o en las taloneras laterales, con la bandera de Italia bien presente.

El otro gran punto de interés del Huracán Performante es su motor V10 de 5.2 litros, toda vez que los ingenieros de Lamborghini han elevado su potencia de 625 a 649 caballos y su par motor hasta los 600 Newton metro. La caja de cambios de doble embrague de siete relaciones que lo acompaña ha sido recalibrada, de la misma forma que se han revisado las suspensiones. Gracias a todo el conjunto, el Lamborghini Huracán Performante acelera de 0 a 100 kilómetros por hora en 2,9 segundos y de 0 a 200 en tan sólo 8,9 segundos. Su consumo en ciclo mixto es de 13,7 litros a los 100, aunque eso no debería ser un problema para sus dueños.
