Is it beneficial to own a car in Los Angeles?

California has approximately 40 million people living within its borders. There are well over 4 million people currently living in Los Angeles alone making it one of the most populated cities not only in the United States, but in the world!

Can you blame people who already live here and those that choose to relocate? California boasts an extensively majestic coastline that hugs the beautifully vast Ocean sitting along side it. With it's agriculture, technological advances and one of the largest economies in the world, people from all walks of life strive to come to the state of California not only visit, but to live!

With attractions like the Golden Gate Bridge, the Redwood Forest, Hollywood, Venice Beach, Joshua Tree National Park, Palm Springs, Disneyland, Universal Studios and more, the idea of living and/or vacationing here is on the bucket list of millions of people all throughout the world.

Los Angeles County isn't simply Santa Monica, Hollywood and Downtown LA. It consists of a wide array of neighborhoods from Culver City, Silverlake, Alhambra and as far out as Lancaster - just to name a few! Each city, unfortunately, is spread out in a fashion and manner where getting from city to city isn't the easiest or most pleasant of tasks. That's why I feel it's crucial for those living in the area own a car for themselves.

Why, you ask? To put it simply, public transportation within Los Angeles isn't the best. Advancements are being made, however, with the booming number of new (and old) residents arriving and opting for public transportation - it can easily lead to an uncomfortable and timely ride. To get from the city of Inglewood to Glendale via Metropolitan Bus Lines or Train can take you well over an hour.. one way! Think about doing that every day to and from work. You'll have to allocate extra time every morning and evening just to appease the travel time. This limits time to yourself and the ability to do what you want with that time.

Same can be said simply participating in leisure, business and dining throughout the County. Having a car of your own simply gives you the freedom to live life, in Los Angeles, on your time. You'll probably want an auto loan to achieve this goal as most of us don't necessarily have the financial means to pay for a car with cash on the spot.
