My Wife's Late Birthday Present: a Car!
We went to Turks and Caicos over my wife's birthday. It was a big one for her with a 0 in it. During the vacation we decided on the perfect present
It is not my favorite car in the world, but she loves it. A 1993 Volkswage Cabrio. She had one in college and has wanted another one ever since. I keep buying cars so I thought it only fair she get one. Although she has a pretty nice one already in a Mercedes GLS 450. She wanted a red Cabrio, which is actually really hard to find. We found a very nice one on Ebay, but it sold before we could get it. She found this one on Facebook in Florida.
It took us a long time to get the car. The owners were tough negotiators and we had to figure out what the car was worth to us after shipping it. We ended up getting it for $2,600 and shipping was another $1,000. The car is a manual transmission, which makes it slightly cooler in my book.
I have another red convertible coming soon that I bought three months ago. It has been a pain getting emissions on it, but that one finally passed. I should have it soon!
