Kite Surfing in Cape Town

The general population of Cape Town has a love - hate relationship with the wind, everyone that is, but the kite and wind surfers, who have a love-love relationship!

Our windiest season is from December until March. So windy, that Cape Town hosts the Red Bull King of the Air event in February.

Our coastline has a large selection of surf spots to pick from, and we see many international travelers enjoying this time of the year.

For a photographer, it's no fun and games shooting in these conditions. But the end result makes up for the discomfort.
