Issei Sagawa

On June 11, 1981 Sagawa invited his Sorbonne classmate Renée Hartevelt, 25, to dinner at his apartment. He planned to kill and eat her, beleiving that by doing so he would absorb her energy, health and beauty. He shot her, raped her corpse and ate parts of her body over two days. He attempted to dump her remains in a lake but was seen in the act and arrested by French police. When he was caught, he was carrying two suitcases filled with the dismembered body parts of Renée Hartevelt.

Stephen Griffiths

Known as the Crossbow Killer, Stephen Griffiths is responsible for killing three women and eating parts of their bodies. He admitted to fantasizing for many years about becoming a serial killer, and that eating his victims was part of the magic.

Luke Magnotta

This Canadian killer sought fame at any cost. He filmed himself brutally killing his lover, Lin Jun, with an ice pick, and violating and dismembering the body, then consuming part of it. He later mailed parts of the victim to political officials.

Natalia & Dmitry Baksheev

Known as the Cannibal Couple, they would lure their victims on dating sites, drug them and skin them alive before eating, freezing or canning their remains. They even used their victims' flesh in food they fed to others. They are believed to have killed and cannibalized up to 30 people.

Joachim Kroll

Kroll was a German serial killer, child molester and cannibal who operated for over 20 years. After strangling his victims, he would rape and masturbate over their bodies before mutilating them and removing parts of the body to eat. He was finally arrested in 1976 after the disappearance of his youngest victim, 4 year old Marion Ketter. When police arrived at his home, they found the mutilated body of the little girl, with parts in the fridge and her hand in boiling pot of water.
