In the U.S., this container garden would not be allowed, and could land one in jail for a long time. Some states are making cannabis legal; but, federal laws could be enforced, overruling state laws.
I am a supporter of the legalization of medicinal marijuana. Perhaps, someday planting 3-4 plants in a personal garden may become legal. The research seems to be gaining momentum for its health benefits for autistic children, and cancer patients.

Yes and strains with high CBD are really good medicine too :) Hope one day it' ll be legal worldwide
The monetary value is in controlling its use; therefore, highly, no pun intended, and not even remotely likely.
Imagine how wealthy legalizing the growth of this plant would make commercial farmers as well as the little guy at the farmer's market. 'Irony' of it all is, it's okay to continue to grow tobacco; but, not this healing plant.
