Alien Dawg ~ Strain Review

Alien Dawg is an Indica dominant hybrid. Its buds are a 60% Indica and a 40% Sativia blend. It clocks in at 20% THC and it doesn't disappoint. it delivers on it's ability to reduce anxiety and produce an exceptional sleep, when it's ingested before bed.

With that said, it produces a gentle body high and leaves the head clear to be creative and get things that need doing, done. It will make you hungry and you will have a dry mouth, so be prepared to keep yourself well hydrated and want to eat.

Alien Dawg's parents come from plants grown in Afghanistan's Hindu Kush region and it's been crossed with plants grown in Northern California.

Visually, it's a pretty bud, with lots of sparkling crystals and well placed orange hairs.

Its aroma is strong..."knock you over strong, no hiding this skunk" strong.

I detected the distinct aromas of coffee, skunk, grapefruit, diesel and cheese in its terpene profile.

I made an ounce (or 30 grams) of it into a medicinal tincture for my sister.

When I was carrying it in my bag to bring it home, (unbeknownst to my husband), he asked me if it was my feet, that he was smelling. This, was after he checked the bottom of his own shoes to determine if he had stepped in something pungent, that he couldn't quite place, I might add... (Yeah, nice guy and he's all mine...we've been married a long time. LOL)  

"No!", I said it's the Alien and I open my bag to show him that the sour smell was leaching right through its heavy plastic container and zip-locked plastic bag. "I'm going to transform it into some potent pain-relieving, sleep inducing medicine", I replied in a somewhat defensive tone. (He was right, it did smell like stinky socks, sort of...)

Once I got it decarbed, it had to be infused in medium chain triglyceride coconut oil, in our basement so that we could function. Otherwise, the whole top floor of our house would've been hot-boxed for 8 hours.

I did grind a bud, to give it a whirl and here's the ground result:

 Once ground, I vaped it in my "Air Riser Air" vapourizer.

A substantial vapour cloud resulted, and it had a strong piney and fruity flavour with a hint of cheese.

Alien Dawg, is an absolute delight. It will get the job done.

A clear head, a pain-free, relaxed body and a "dead to the world" sleep. What's not to love about that?
