A new study on trends in global sales of tobacco products is published in the sixth edition of the Atlas of Tobacco. Cigarette manufacturers are increasingly targeting vulnerable groups in the developing countries of Africa, Asia and the Middle East, where the population is not protected by the state strict laws and regulations to combat smoking.

Atlas was co-authored with the American Cancer Society (ACS) and clearly demonstrates the magnitude of the epidemic of tobacco use around the world.
