Cannabidiol (CBD) & Vitmain B17 Cure 81-year-old Woman's Ovarian Cancer

in #cannabis4 years ago (edited)

Low grade serous ovarian carcinoma is a rare disease that is "relatively resistant to chemotherapy in comparison to its high-grade counterpart". Many patients with advanced stage or recurrent carcinoma are encouraged to participate in pharmaceutical clinical trials because treatment options are limited and the cure rate is only 5%.

Meanwhile, animal and laboratory studies have demonstrated multiple anticancer mechanisms of cannabinoids such as THC and CBD against gliomas, lymphomas, prostate, breast, lung, skin, and pancreatic cancer. Specifically, the "ovarian cancer cell lines express GPR55, a target that is inhibited indirectly by CBD and plays a role in prostate and ovarian cancer cell proliferation".

In this case report, we highlight a dramatic response to combination Laetrile and CBD oil in a patient with widely metastatic low grade serous ovarian carcinoma. Laetrile is a semi-synthetic version of amygdaline, a chemical compound found in plants and fruit seeds. Both Laetrile and amygdaline contain cyanide within a common structural component.

A Cochrane review published in 2015 found no randomized or quasi randomized control trials supporting the use of Laetrile in cancer patients, and argued it should not be used in cancer patients due to risk of cyanide poisoning. Although, it was banned by the FDA in the 1980s, it is still available for purchase.

After refusing all other treatment options because of her concern for quality of life, the 81-year-old woman took a 500mg tablet of laetrile 4 times a day and one drop of cannabidiol sublingually each evening. Her CA-125 levels normalized after just one month of this regimen.

Wow, after just ONE month!

No kidding, eh! After one month she was half cured and then one more month and the cancer was basically gone. It looks like staying on cannabis afterwards helped her stay in remission. We wonder what the little jump up in CA-125 levels were in November/December. Probably something to do with winter, either direct lack of sunlight (vitamin D) or indirectly through winter blues and lack of exercise and good nutrition.

I know! When these alternative treatments do work, they really work! :) People who've battled cancer for years and are on their deathbed (moreso because of the chemo than the cancer) achieve remission in days to weeks. Meanwhile, with standard treatment, people have to spend all day in the hospital only once a week for months or even years (often living away from home) and/or get irradiated every day.

Although it's not a modelling picture, we upvoted and resteemed because it's about women, cannabis, and natural cancer cures, we just couldn't help ourselves!

Thank you, @GirlsofGreen! We're proud of her for taking the risk to refuse mainstream treatment. Obviously at 80-years old you're not really fighting for your life, so she just wanted the best quality of life, and we learned a lot from her decision. Now we can't dismiss laetrile completely, but it would have been nice if she controlled her experiment and tried just one at a time, and then both. 1 drop of CBD a day is so tiny, if that's really what (helped) cure her cancer, that's crazy...and so are mainstream treatment options.

We fell the same way! ;)

Uh oh, hope you didn't hurt yourselves! hehehe

This an amazing piece of information! Any idea of the MG of the cannabidiol drop?

Good question, that part was really vague unfortunately. It seems like such a small amount, but some cancers do respond to a tiny amount while others need grams a day. It might have been entirely the B17, too bad we can't tell.

Pure CBD and pure THC have very different effects on a woman's reproductive system and these types of cancers. Nature (full spectrum cannabis oil) knows best, so if you're using isolates instead of full spectrum cannabis, please research your condition very well.
