Dying Child Takes Cannabis Oil For Cancer & Dad Arrested For Drugging Child
The drama of a father who was arrested for giving cannabis oil to his daughter suffering from cancer.
Adam Koessler, the father of a two-year-old girl suffering from end-stage cancer was accused of giving his daughter’s food with cannabis oil the day before she was due to start chemotherapy in December 2014 in an attempt to relieve her suffering. The father has been deprived of parental rights and he pleaded guilty in the Brisbane Supreme Court to supplying and possessing drugs and administration it to a minor.

His daughter, Rumer who had an 11cm tumour in her abdomen when she was diagnosed, received chemotherapy, surgery, a bone-marrow transplant and radiation at the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane. But as doctors told her family there was nothing more they could do, Adam began supplementing his cannabis-based chemotherapy with "amazing" results, the reason why he was arrested, on January 2, 2015, for what he had done.
Rumer died at 4.04am Monday in her mum Sacha’s arms after being flown back home to Cairns by the Royal Flying Doctor Service five days ago.
The father's situation in Australia has indignated thousands of people all over the world who signed a petition and raised money to help him.

I don't know what's worse: when the gov't takes away the child because of medical cannabis use, or when an ex-spouse plays the "(s)he's a pothead" card against the other spouse to gain full custody. In the latter case, when people play the system like this, they become it...talk about feeding the machine nom nom nom. Let's not be food for the machine.
That's so sad, thanks for sharing. It's disgusting how the system stops life-saving treatment and takes away children from parents. Add PTSD to that child's diagnosis list if she survives :(
