Alaska California and Massachusetts are fighting back against Jeff Sessions!

As you may have heard, a few months back Jeff Sessions our dear Attorney General did away with the Obama-era protections for cannabis businesses that operate in compliance with their state laws - the Cole memo.

Although the feds have not raided any legally operating cannabis businesses since the Cole memo was repealed, Lawmakers in three states are taking a proactive approach rather than waiting until disaster strikes to take action.

Legislators in Alaska, California and Massachusetts have drafted so-called Sanctuary bills that would prevent the federal government from using local resources such as the police force among others in federal anti-cannabis operations/raids.

To be clear these bills have merely been introduced and it will be awhile before they are brought to a vote yet alone become law. But the fact that such bills are beginning to pop up gives me hope that the truth will prevail in the end.

Thanks for setting a good example California Alaska and Massachusetts. That's what's up!

The government has so much to gain from legalization, it baffles me everytime I see them trying to put up roadblocks. Look at how much they already make on alcohol and tobacco, they could be making so much more off MJ.

no doubt! but without illegal cannabis, the prisons would be 25% less full and the big pharma companies would also lose revenue, not to mention the alcohol companies. I feel like all them have powerful lobbyists in DC and politicians all have a price.

Hi. Love your steem page. Just followed and upvoted. Please check out my page. Cheers!

That's what's up man, thanks! Just followed you back.

It kills me to see things like this. MJ is not as harmful as these dumb ass politicians think! I live in Colorado and recently went to a dispensary that opened this year. It was in a smaller town and speaking with my bud tender he told me that just their little shop now accounts for 67% of the towns total taxes. That alone shows that the PEOPLE want MJ and that it creates HUGE Tax revenue for the towns and states. SMH.

Fuck mr magoo! oops i mean jeff sesions lol
