Agreed. Many US states have legalized but the results are hardly encouraging. In most cases the "offenses" don't become any less criminal under legalization, and in some cases become MORE criminal. Quality and selection go down while price goes up. Black market flourishes. Enforcement flourishes. The drug war continues. : (
Thank you for the Kraken upvote!!

The Oregon government wants the biggest threat to legalization to be medical patients. They want to restrict and police sick people while anyone can grow 4 plants. It went from 6 in flower and 16 under a foot tall and a foot wide to now just being 6 total.

Now the fees. Have shot up. Only benefit from the medical card is to not pay taxes on a bag of weed. Which you are getting charged 300$+ for an ounce of medicine that's not cured and dried like crap. And the local news makes a medical patient the bad guy. They are the reason so much weed is exported. Not thinking about the fact that the exporter is breaking the law. Not a patient.

But yeah in Washington less than 28 grams is legal. 28-39 grams is a misdemeanor and 40+ is still a felony!

Oh now you can get a DUI for your medication even if your not under the influence.

Oh Washington State only has a tiny percentage of the original 86% tax on legal weed actually going to schools and roads.

But, the biggest part goes into a political slush fund.

No taxes for the government! Too much administration and no care for the people.

Yikes! That's "legalization" for you! And to think, Oregon is considered a success story... I'd hate to see the failures...
