it never worked!

So far so good, nations of the Canada, South Korea and some part of the United States could say that, while others are still plunged in the dark shades of severe ban on Cannabis and related plants, the tussle continues with each case of negative punishment on Cannabis consumers with the tag ‘illegal’ coming on as a deep sting into the longest nerves, travelling far into the memories and creating some unnecessary guilt for stoners and uncertified individuals using these plants for medical purposes and scaring away intending users and researchers on these plants as the grave punishment attached to being caught with these plants casts a dark shade over the potential gains of successful researches into the yet-to-be-discovered uses of them.

Few days ago, I read a post by @princeola where he explained and showcased how cannabis can be used in achieving a healthier hair growth and unarguably a more natural approach toward hair growth, before the post however, many hair growth formulae have also used cannabis extensively to improve hair growth. I could remember a hair oil I used previously which had tiny pieces of leaves, which are cannabis of course!.

This is just one of the countless applications of these plants, however, the bans have only limited further and more enhanced researches and hence the potentials hidden in these plants might never be completely harnessed if we continue in the era of weed-ban. Prohibition didn’t work and might never work.

Following legalization in some parts of the world, we can comfortably look at how things have changed up in these places and put together the advantages of having a weed-legal world where we can purchase our favourite buds from the dispensaries around us…

Improved medical and lifestyle researches utilizing cannabis and related plants

images-4.jpeg
of course, you can't!

The medical sector could revamp the fentanyl analgesics, even the processed cocaine could be put aside in the pharmaceuticals, amazing potentials lies in the cannabis plants due to their little side effects and amazing analgesic ability it possesses.

Before the era of super-synthetic modern medicine, the Asian physician achieved great stuffs in Human surgery using alcohol and cannabis mixtures.

This mixture keeps the patient from feeling pains throughout the surgery, and yet very little or no side effects results after the surgery.

Unfortunately, improved version of this mixture can only be dream as the ban has put a huge limit on using certain amount of these plants for medical purposes, while it is completely banned in many other countries. Our everyday pain killers could also utilize cannabis extracts in a given concentration and would provide much more potent pain killing effects than the acetaminophens and fentanyls–on the extreme.

The Tetrahydrocannabinols and other cannabionoids promises a better health care strategies which could only be achieved with increased researches in this sector utilizing cannabis and it’s related plants, lifting the prohibitions on cannabis gives the scientists the freedom to carry out the researches without fear of going against the laws which are unfortunately too many to remember, to be safe, one would easily choose to stay put and never venture into researches on cannabis and research on cannabis substitute are only growing, another alarming step towards synthetic medicine which have shown comparable harms.

Economic viability and Agricultural boost

save the economy!

Do I need to mention this? Nope, I need not… lol, of course, this is the clearest gains we could have in a weed-legal world, nine figures gain statistics have been reported on commercial activities on cannabis in commercial since the legalisation, elsewhere and a bit close to Canada, over $2.5 million dollars was made on recreational sales of cannabis within 2 weeks in Massachusetts, United States.

Over time in history, the agricultural sector of many countries have been given a huge boost with the introduction of a new plant with great commercial potentials, the introduction of rice grains have changed the fate of several countries' economy, cannabis and other related plants also posses similar potentials, before the onset of prohibitions on it’s use, inhabitants of ancient Asia processed hemp(a strain of cannabis) to produce edible oil and also as a protein supplement due to its high protein content.

Apart from burning and smoking up these plants (which are of course another important use) the application of Cannabis is vast and more uses will be developed with time, provided the prohibition are lifted.

This stands a chance of revolutionizing the agricultural sector of the every country and boosting the economy, the cannabis industry could create several thousands of employment opportunities and yield nine figures revenues for the government which will can be injected into other poorly performing sectors to create a stable economy

Easier control of abuse and trafficking

It gets a bit interesting here, bans on cannabis were intended to boycott abuse and curb indecent sales of these plants, and also to regulate the age-restrictions on consumption. However, this have failed over time, and it’s time to sort better ways which lies in lifting these bans and allowing the recreational sale of cannabis in dispensaries and farmers shops.

Public sale will provide an avenue for easy tracking of marijuana sales, if the farmers sells all his cannabis harvests in the market, the buyers could be easily identified and also the quantities purchased, this creates a secure weather as buyer is aware of the publicity of his purchase and hence the need to go moderate, just like the success made in controlling underage consumption of alcohol, cannabis will also follow suit as this success of alcohol consumption was only possible due to its free sale and public consumption even though both presents a related nervous reaction which is alteration of the activities of the nervous system.

The concept of trafficking only exists due to the ban placed on transport and commercialization of these plants, if a stoner and a medical researcher can easily purchase any amount of cannabis he wishes from his closest dispensaries, there will be no need for secret purchases which even cost much more money. Prohibition is the source of trafficking and abuse will be easier to tame if the prohibition is lifted, actually what was though to be the solution was actually a gun powder added into the slow burning fire.

Healthier organ of metabolism

save the organs!

Synthetic analgesics, anti-depressants and Anxiolytics have a very low therapeutic index, even the least poisonous acetaminophens have a huge potentials of causing liver failure on overdose. Even on moderate consumption in accordance with the professional prescriptions, the liver and kidneys struggles to keep up with detoxification of the highly toxic chemicals used in the production of the synthetic analgesics.

In contrast, natural THC posses much lesser toxicity, and a lesser load on the liver and kidney when eaten in form of edibles, when smoked, the effect is direct to the nervous system, and the effect of the smokes on the lungs is the risk factors here.
