Possibly the least attractive strain name I’ve ever heard, but I’ll try anything. And it’s good marketing. I doubt I’m the only one who wants to know what weed that tastes like “garlic” is like.

How many Cannabis Cups a strain has won, particularly when we’re talking about the regional ones, has never really mattered to me when choosing strains.
I don’t like the way that the vast majority are judged, with a group of people receiving usually a gram of each competitor, to use at their disposal.
It’s really hard to judge a strain when you’re already baked on 4 others.
Sure. Some great strains have won cannabis cups, but for every one, there’s a strain local to some area that will never see a Cup that’s better...
Well let me tell you it from someone who's been smoking for a while now. At this point I'm a connoisseur. Ive had everything from the Bay to LA. Yes not all of the strains get a fair chance, yes alot of them are rigged for pay 2 win, but these GMO cookies are bred by well respected growers in the game. By no means are these strains to be takin lightly. I got a homie who works for lumpys who grows apple fritter, sour apple haze, reckless rainbow..etc. they just took 1st place. If youve had their strains you will know why. Of course when you're at the cannabis club you're going to smell every single top shelf you get your hands on but if they tell you it wins the Cannabis Cup you may want to consider looking at that one first.
It just doesn’t mean anything to me. If anything it’s a warning that I won’t like it. But I’m old school. If it were up to me hybridization would’ve been stopped 10 years ago.
Most of the time crossing x awesome strain with y awesome strain does not produce a child with all of the attributes that made both strains great.
But now that we’re at where we’re at, we can cross anything with anything just by blending oils. Or if you’re using flower by either vaping a chamber of 2 different strains or grinding them up together into one.
This gives one the true full effects of both strains...
True. But there are more then a few exceptions you gotta admit.
I absolutely admit. But then when they find a good thing, the first thing they ask themselves is “how can I cross this and make it better?”
Take Blue Dream for example. Probably the biggest strain of the new millennium thus far. Already destroyed imo, unless you’re willing to spend and know that someone has the right genetics.
Green Crack, GSC, Gorilla Glue, the list goes on. But they have 5 crosses 6 months after they hit the market.
That isn’t enough time to nail down good genetics and a proper cycle for a new strain...
Yeah you definitely have a point there those people are in it for the money more than the genetics. But honestly at the point when it hit the market Girl Scout cookies and all those other strains are really old to them. And the consumer wants more and more and more nowadays so they're trying to keep up with the demand a month after you drop something everyone is tired of it.
