Her shoulders will be lonesome for her head

The past couple of days were mostly rainy and overcast.

Resin production looks ok, though. It hasn't gone amber, yet, but all the pistils on the main cola have turned into a nice shade of brown.

I wish she would not have foxtailed! Nice trichome density.

I decided it was time to cut her down.

I've had enough bad luck with mold during weather conditions like this before!

nice little micro-canopy :P

I decided to cut down only the main cola for now.

They say ruderalis strains don't respond well to sequential harvesting. But the bottom side-branches had started flowering quite a bit later and interestingly they are not showing the same signs of foxtailing.

I hope the juices will flow well into these side-branches now.

Maybe there will a few pretty nugs from this plant after all?!

🤞 fingers crossed 🤞

Would you have let her grow for another while despite the bad weather?
Have you tried sequential harvesting with an autoflowering strain before?

Sort:

Have you smoked it yet?
I'm curious on what a 100% ruderalis would taste like.

nope... it's not even in a jar yet... still hanging for the initial drying... will ba 3 weeks min. before it's ready to be smoked!

I really need to look into this strain. I've only just heard about it on this platform we call steem. Keep up the good work and stay medicated!

a pure ruderalis will not yield any potent smoke.

ruderalis strains are mixed with indicas and sativas to gain potency.

The base of these plants was a commercially available "Jack Herer Automatic" (A cross of Jack Herer with a ruderalis plant). I was growing these last year with great success... one of them even turned all pretty and colorful.

They did get pollinated by some unknown strain that some kids were growing in the meadows next to my garden and I grew this plant in the OP from the seeds.

I guess the mixed genes didn't turn out so well, though another one from these seeds (germinated 5 weeks later) is looking much better, it's just entering it's flowering stage now and I hope it won't foxtail like this one did.

That tree looks amazing! 🔥

she foxtailed but she's pretty icky and sticky!

phew... this was my first non-comment post via beta.chainbb.com...

The editor over there clearly needs some improvements @jesta... but hey... a lot of advanced options like additional beneficiaries is great...

and you made me a beneficiary!
thank you master!
