The weekend update

This year as far as growing in the greenhouse has been flying by really quick. Around June we were gifted three plants from another environment and was undergoing a different lightcycle then what was happening with the Sun. The garden they came from was a light dep Garden. Early on these plants suffered from weird Las Vegas weather where we had a month-long dust storm slash just dust lingering in the air, no sun for 2 weeks and a crazy Caterpillar attack. Much to our surprise even after cutting back the plants quite significantly due to worm damage, the plants rebounded nicely.

We treated the plants with bacteria such as B.T. and Captian Jack's Dead Bug for protection from the caterpillars that the moths lay. It is not recommended to add bacterial products to combat bug infestations if you are going to test your product for commercial consumption while the plants are budding. Unfortunately, when you test your product it will come back as having microbes on it. Kind of a bummer since no microbes at all are allowed but pesticides are? It's mostly because it's just that much more expensive to test for individual microbes especially a full spectrum of them.

Because of the light cycle differential from the previous garden to ours we had the plants slightly confused enough to where they showed it with the shooting off of single fingered leaves. This will make trimming harder than it should be as we will have less bud structure and more stretchy plants. Two of our plants however are stretchier than they should be mostly due to the plants being on the north side of the house and receiving less and less sunlight.

We did not amend the soil that the plants are in this year as we didn't even expect to grow plants. As a result we are seeing a phosphorus deficiency as well. Some rock phosphate earlier in the year added to the soil would have really helped us a lot. Adding phosphorus in the form of a fish product from https://buildasoil.com called buildabloom did occur but way late in the game but still was and is extremely benefical.

We can only Harvest 1 oz at a time per Nevada Law, so we will have to harvest these plants in stages. In that regard it's a good thing these plants did not blow up full of buds because as it is we are already pushing it. It will be nice to have the plant at different stages of flower Harvested. I personally love to take the plants a little longer than most people as I find the extra cannabinoids from the THC degradation makes it a little more psychedelic in a little bit more medical for my liking.

Kind of interesting the trichomes are turning milky fast but the calyxes are not fully developing yet. The leaves are starting to fade out and the white hairs are starting to turn colors. Hopefully by next Harvest Moon we will have denser buds and more of a psychedelic medicine. Side note supposedly coffee is the most used psychedelic source even more than cannabis. The majority of the research is suppressed on cannabinoids and the difference between artificially grown cannabis grown indoors versus naturally grown cannabis Outdoors and one can only come up with their own conclusions with the little research material available due to government suppression of research that's been conducted at universities, as to what stage of flower to harvest for your medical condition. For example the earlier you harvest the more terps and THC you will have and the later you harvest the less terps and thc you will have.

When determining the Harvest Time of a plant it has a lot to do with the ratio of Milky trichomes to Amber trichomes, calyx development, the strain and even moon cycles. So harvesting these plants in batches over the next couple months will be fun to see the different effects that it has on our medical conditions that we use cannabis for.

I'll try to upload some better pictures via Instagram today and of course I'll be using @steemigram to have them post to @steemit.

I guess to each their own. Your photos are always amazing! It takes time and experience to take such photos that you do. When I have time to comb through my feed(usually looking for the @theouterlight posts) I catch great pictures from you! I got too consumed building this discord community. Which i think you could benefit from!😜

Ok...I joined. I think

No, you won't ! ^^ Big update coming, stay tuned !

Not yet, but it wil be tomorrow... in some way...

Just a heads up with Instagram you can repost other people's post on the platform of Instagram which can lead to possible issues with share2steem. Also with Instagram you have the option to share to Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr which may also cause some issues unless you are already aware of them

Afaik reposts on Instagram are not available natively but only via 3rd apps. But we will see if it causes issues when we are in this case.
