Canada proposes ridiculous limits on "legal" Cannabis edibles and extracts

Have a look at the restrictions and limits for "legalized" Canadian cannabis edibles and extracts!

(I'm making this my first post via Busy.org! Steemit modifies uploaded images now, making them too blurry to read!)

10mg maximum dose

One of the most prohibitive parts of the new regulations is a limit on dosage size. Cannabis is the safest therapeutic compound known. Any limitation (of cannabis or any other substance) must be undertaken due to a serious risk of imminent harm. No serious harm can be attributed to cannabis use, and even minor side effects are uncommon. Cannabis poses no more safety risk to users than most foods they eat or supplements they take.

Also, keep in mind these limits are imposed on all users in Canada, including medical users! As my wife @MediKatie recently demonstrated, 10mg isn't even a portion of a dose for medical users.

Imagine eating 15 brownies to get a single dose of medicine, and needing to do that 4 to 6 times every day, or you'll die? What kind of torture are we putting peaceful sick Canadians through, for the sake of empowering 4 or 5 new billionaires and their corporate monopoly? It's not fair.

These regulations will cause harm. These limits are a form of prohibition, not "legalization" at all.

For years, we handed out 100mg candies and baked goods as part of the Vancouver 420 Farmers Markets, every Saturday in Robson Square, downtown Vancouver. We gave out these large free doses of THC in edible form to any adults who wanted them. Lots of people got high, nobody got sick. Week after week, month after month, and year after year - ZERO serious problems with 100mg (and higher) doses. I'm not saying that's how things should be done, but I'm saying 10mg is a stupid and harmful limit that makes no sense.

Labels warning users that cannabis is dangerous? I have problems with that, too. Lying to buyers is never a good thing. No research studies to back up their claims of danger, of course. They don't function in the world of facts, but in the world of emotions. As long as they can keep people ignorant and scared, they can control the market.

A limit of 1000mg per package (for things like budder, shatter, rosin, etc) is also going to harm patients and users, at the benefit of the monopoly.

All these limits empower the black market, which doesn't abide by such nonsense (thankfully). Patients and many others will support the black (free) market out of choice or necessity. That means enforcement can increase - and more taxes collected to pay for it all of course. More lives ruined by prohibition for no good reason.

This legalized market in Canada is corrupt, through and through. I will continue to boycott it 100% and support the free market, no matter how bad enforcement gets. I'll go to prison before I'll use their poisonous dead irradiated weed.
