7 day old Super Skunk sprouts

Look how far these 8 seeds have come since germination one week ago!

They've taken quite well since their transplant into soil 3 days ago.

Let's have a look at each sprout individually:

A

'A' was 1 of 2 seeds on an edge of the 'germination station', and the first to be transplanted into soil. I don't know why the cotyledons were so pale, and haven't greened up since. One of them is pretty much dead and the other looks unwell. The first node of real leaves has appeared, but it's small compared to that of the other sprouts.

'B' started off with one pale cotyledon, but it's greening up, and the first leaves look healthy.

C

Very healthy and large sprout. A bit leggy at the moment.

D

Another tall and healthy sprout. You can see the 3rd node already peaking out in the center, and the 2nd node is ready for liftoff from the 1st. Going up!

E

'E' has one yellow cotyledon that is greening in, and is otherwise a healthy specimen.

F

This seed was about 12 hours behind the others to germinate, but is catching up nicely. Good colour.

G

'G' is one of the largest sprouts in the garden (but isn't too tall/leggy). If I had to guess right now, I'd guess G will be 1 of the 4 adult plants I flower out. Assuming it's female, of course.

'H' is another healthy young seedling. We can zoom to see more detail on the 3rd node appearing:

I think this is the furthest along I've ever been after 7 days. I credit good genetics - these Super Skunk seeds came to me from a friend in the Netherlands. Super Skunk is genetically mostly Afghani (Indica), with a little Acapulco and Columbian (Sativa) landraces mixed in. I also credit the 'germination station' method with launching these sprouts toward success.

Steem OG

The Steem OG buds I harvested 17 days ago are still curing in glass jars. Here's one of the buds today:
