Farmers in Canada are criticizing their government for their harmful regulation of industrial hemp crops in the country. The farmers say that they are permitted to grow the plant and harvest, but most of it they are required to throw away.

Tens of thousands of acres of cannabis hemp is grown in the country. Back in 2013, it was estimated that they produced around 66,700 acres. Unfortunately, most of it was unnecessarily wasted.

It's estimated they waste over 1 billion grams of medical cannabis resin.

The farmers say that because of these regulations, they are potentially losing millions in what they are forced to waste and throw away. This is despite hemp being grown and used for many years around the world, and being able to provide thousands of potential uses.

Despite cannabis experts maintaining that CBD contains no addictive or psychoactive effects, the state still doesn't allow for the use of this material by the farmers.
