They have proven the link between highly processed foods and the risk of cancer
A study carried out in France among 105,000 people found a link between eating industrially prepared foods and the risk of cancer, reports France. Scientists analyzed the data from health questionnaires completed in 2009-2017.
Study participants were approximately 43 years of age. Scientists included questions about the consumption of "ultra-processed" industrial foods, which according to them are higher in lipids, saturated lipids, sugars and have lower fiber and vitamins.
Professionals have concluded that eating these foods leads to an increased risk of cancer within 6-18 percent. The risk of breast cancer increases from 2 to 22 percent.
The category of industrially prepared foods includes bread, pastries, desserts, sweetened beverages, processed meat, test, soluble soups, frozen dishes and more.
