Today I learned that the Canadian government has decided that the word "fuck" in English is not a curse - as long as it is spoken in French.

The Canadian Broadcasting Authority decided to allow the use of the word in French broadcasts, even when the speaker speaks English, because "the word does not have the same vulgar connotation when used in a French context." This is only if the word does not serve as an insult to a specific person.
