A Russian immigrant to Canada may be denied citizenship and potentially be deported because she was convicted of a "crime" back in Russia.
What was the crime?
She wrote blog posts condemning Putin's invasion of Ukraine and war crimes committed by Russian troops there.
This ran afoul of new Russian laws punishing dissent on the war.
There is much stupidity and downright evil in US immigration law. But if Canadian authorities go through with this, it would be up there with the worst of ours.
