Day at the beach
I didn't bring my laptop and am doing my best to stay off of my phone while on my family camping trip. Most of my pictures are still on my DSLR which does not have Bluetooth. I have taken a few with my phone that I will share.
So far we have had a great trip. I have been accomplishing everything that I had hoped. My son Luke is more interested in going fishing (even though we haven't cought anything but a tree) than playing on his DS. He keeps bugging to go for bike rides with either me or his cousins. I think that kids these days need to get outside more. Electronics are important to know how to use but so is being able to do things manually.
Each night at the camp fire we have to list some of our favorite things that we did that day. Today Luke said "my favorite thing was when we played water guns at the beach".
On his second turn he said "when I beat dad in our bike race".
Now I still disagree with the finish line judge on that one, but I don't disagree that it was a great memory.
Very good post @dadview, it is good to get away from the technology and enjoy nature. I also love going to the beach, but it hurts the sun. So I can only go on sunny days or at sundown. Your son is very cute, and it is seen that he enjoys the sun. Thanks for sharing. ;)

Itvwas about 30'C when we were at the beach. It is also a freshwater lake so great to swim in to cool off.

Thanks. My wife took it when we were at the beach. I did a quick edit with Samsung Studio to get the effect. I think that it turned out great. I may even print a copy for my office.

STOPI think it's awesome that you try to keep the digital time low when you spend time with your family. I see so many families today where atleast one in the family is on some digital gadget at all times during the day . Thanks for sharing !
My sister's family was also on vacation with us and shebwas the only one that I had to keep bugging to get off her phone. She is 41!
Haha well that is an interesting thing you point out. Many times adults can be even more addicted to their mobiles then kids !
