Quick Trip: Our First Night in the Van!

As you may have seen over on @mstafford's @steepshot posts, we managed to get out to beautiful, wild Tofino for a night and try out sleeping in the new van! It was a quick, last-minute trip. We hadn't been planning on going away, but when my work asked if anyone was heading to the west coast I volunteered. So we had to drop off 9 giant bags of beautiful Jeni Mack hoodies, but then we were on our own, and able to snag a first-come-first-serve campsite and some beer from Tofino Brewery and park our van and our asses next to a nice campfire.

Of course, we had to hit the beach. It was the dogs' first time ever on a wild West Coast beach (West Coast meaning the West Coast of Vancouver Island. We live on the southern tip.) and they absolutely loved it. Helo was turning over shells and Roadie was running in circles. He loves running on dense beach sand... I think because it's so grippy.

Sleeping in the van was a success! It gave us a much better understanding of the space inside, and gave us lots of ideas for tweaking our build plans. We can't wait to get started. Build officially starts June 10!!
