An Early Childhood Christmas Season Memory

Kusing-Kusing is like a jingling sound that's how I understand it. I believe this is a colloquial Kapampangan term which is used to refer to this tambourine like instrument that kids during the old days will create. We use this during our carolling at night. It was fun, we collect bottle caps together then flatten them using a hammer if your dad won't lend his you can use a stone you pick from the road. Once flattened time to poke holes on them then tie with a wire and you're good. An instant jingling instrument you can use for carolling. It is so sad though we rarely see children create and use them. They still do carolling but no more candles to light and no more Kusing-Kusing they just simply sing. Hmm quite boring I think ☺

There you have it thanks for the time.
