Byteball - Things you should know before you start!

After the successful launch and interaction of byteball with steem blockchain discord servers are full of referral links, information and instructions to get hooked up with byteball. Like others, I jumped on the play store via a referral link and downloaded the Byteball app. At first sight, the interface of byteball isn't that simple however following few tutorials I got up with my byteball account and received few rewards around 16.04$ worth of bytes simply Gbytes! You can easily trade your Gbytes on bittrex - thanks to @face2face for confirming the resolution to trade gbytes. Free airdrops and initial offerings are like a small treat for us go grab yours now. Everything was going smooth but I accidentally uninstalled the byteball android application. Do not uninstall the app as it is!
Installation!
- Installation is simple but I will recommend you to follow someone's byteball referral because this will be more beneficial to both you and referrer.
- This will take you to the byteball web page from where you can download byteball on your respective platform(windows, mac, android and many more....)
- After installing your app go to the chat section, find steem attestation bot and then follow the on-screen instructions given by the bot.
- You will have to confirm your username via steemconnect and ta-da you will get your rewards in bytes based on your reputation level.
But... Do not uninstall it!
- Unfortunately, I had to do a system update on my smartphone in which all the data related to every app wiped out. Most of the tutorial post don't say this but yes do not uninstall the byteball app as it is!
- After upgrading my system I reinstalled every app, I checked in byteball and woosh no data was there related to my steem attestation, ZERO bytes.
- I went to the chat section, started all the steps to get attested with byteball. Instead of using my previous address, the bot generated the new address and created a fresh account with Zero bytes in it.
- I tried to switch back to the previous address that I got on the first time but nothing happened just an invalid message with two addresses.
So what you can do?
- After losing 16.04$ worth of bytes I started to find a resolution for this issue so you do not have to meet such an issue or get locked out of your account.
- After getting your reward payments, the first thing you must do is swipe right to get the only drawer --> go to the settings --> scroll down --> go for a 'full backup! and set up a password'
- Remember you can't clone your same account on different devices. This may lead to a service interruption or you may get locked out of your account.
- After Backing up, you can uninstall the app and if you feel to install it again then head back to playstore directly and download from there. After installing it go to the settings and perform a "Restore from full backup".
I am out of luck!
- I tried to get back to my account but everything went in the dust. I will sure setup my second byteball account so if you can help me by sending some bytes then it will be truly awesome.

Backing up is always good advice, too bad that you had to learn it the hard way :(
Attesting the same Steem account twice won't give you rewards anymore.
There were no such details in the tutorial post, but okay at least I learned something. Will do a back up from the next time. Cheers!
