Barrels Upon Barrels - B&W photography

I find myself surrounded by barrels of wine all the time. It's the nature of my industry. But honestly? It never gets old! A lot of the time these barrels have been here for a few years, allowing the wine to develop even more complexity and character. You're surrounded by centuries-old aging techniques that have been brought into the modern world. If you're lucky enough, you'll see the winemaker tasting samples right from the barrel and to me, there's something so special about that.

You're in the presence of the process - the process that we all know bits and pieces about, but never truly appreciate until a winemaker is up on a ladder, swirling a barrel sample in their glass, testing to make sure it's developing the way they had hoped. It's a moment of gratitude that, for me, is memorable every time.

My husband and I really want to experiment with making our own wine. We love taking wine tours here in Oregon and have been able to go down and see some of the behind the scenes happening on site. Pretty cool!

you are a successful person with the wine industry .. certainly needs a lot of capital to open a wine industry like you

I took a wine tour in France where we got to go behind the scenes of a winery and do some taste testing, it was an amazing experience! It's amazing that you are so passionate about your work and still like the little things that come with the job. Thanks for sharing!- Ivy

It's really a moment of gratitude that is memorable every time. But it looks like a repetitive task

Black and white creates a strange dreamscape that color never can.

your wine industry is great, thank a lot for that achievement

a very good post I really like it
