B&W Photo Contest entry 1: Pine core in simple

For this theme, I choose this photo. This is a macro shot of pine core. Minimalistic, but still rich. Pine cores symbolize a new start or a newborn, if may I say like this. But this picture is totally opposite, dark tones are showing the end a like a gravestones showing out to a light. This was taken with Sony a6500 and 50mm macro lens.
