Ao Nang deserted beach - Entry #1 Black and White Photo bwphotocontest
It's nice to take a boat when there aren't hoards of tourists clamoring about and it makes it a lot easier to get scenes like this one where there just aren't any people to be seen. I did drag a tripod along and you can see the lower viewpoint of where I set the camera height - approx above knee level which isn't convenient when framing, but the results are more interesting. Of course, even lower is good as well, but didn't want to emphasize the beach debris over the highly textured sea-cliff walls and trees. The color version is also striking - will post soon.
Shot with an older Canon 5dii and the 85 1.2mm ii (not the ideal choice for having around the ocean). Would've been a lovely spot for a timelapse...
