B & W Photo Contest : Oldest Water Irrigation System in Sichuan, China ( 四川都江堰)
Sichuan Irrigation System is magnificent because it is the only irrigation system that does not rely on a dam. This system has managed to solve the flood problems from the Minjiang River for the last 2000 years. It was build by Li Bing the official of Sichuan with his son to help the vilagers overcome the constant flooding problems.
