No way to reach the moon
Two years ago i went for short trip to Fereydounshahr (Isfahan province, Iran) with my family. We were hosted by my father's friend who lives there. He has an orchard just out of town. it's a small town so it takes less than 10 minutes to get there. i was wandering around the orchard. The moon was beautiful but moon alone wasn't enough for me, i needed a petter composition. Then a saw the fence and this idea (photo above) came to my mind. Also there is a famous poetry in Farsi (Persian) which is so related to this photo. It's so better in Farsi but still worth reading the English translation (just part of it):
You're the Moon and I'm the fish of this pool
It's a great grief when you're not in the sky
...
I never reach you my high moon
It's a great grief whether you're there or not

Very cool!
Thanks!
When i'm trying hard to reach the moon you're visiting Miller's planet, that's not fair. 😀
(I really loved the movie, i don't know if I'm overdoing it or it's still cool)
Hahaha not at all man!
It’s still a pretty good poem even in translation. Who is the poet? Would it be Rumi or Firdausi?
The poet is Alireza Badi. https://www.instagram.com/alirezabadi/?hl=en
Not much known by the public.
I haven’t heard of the poet. My husband says they grew up in Abadan studying Firdousi and Rumi and Khayyam. I’m rather partial to the Rubyiat myself.
