B&W Photo Contest - Geometric Shapes - Entry 1 - Edge On
Epitomizing the adage "greater than the sum of its parts" the geometry of how cardboard is constructed: two somewhat stiff flat pieces of fibrous paper, have sandwiched between them a third layer, forming triangular channels. This makes it quite resistant to folding in a direction perpendicular to the channels, though easily folded parallel to the channels. Light, recyclable, cheap and made from somewhat renewable resources, it is the number one packing material in the world!

looks pretty cool. macro-shots can reveal such a different world... good luck in the contest!
Thank you! Macro certainly does show us different worlds from new perspectives, sometimes enchanting; sometimes terrifying!
Сool photo. I love this type of photo. You got a good deal.
Thank you, I think the abstract nature of it works well, and there's just enough familiarity with the cardboard to not be too alien.
Who knew cardboard could look so good!
Haha, right?! It was just in the entranceway, waiting to be recycled when the light hit it just so...I had to take a few shots! :)
Its awesome!
