B&W Photo contest - The rain drop, a manipulator of light...
Rain drops are fun subjects: These little guys refract light and make it do tons of crazy things, all for the pleasure of our eyes!
Look how the rain drop at the center of the picture refracts and focuses the light.
The beauty in nature is also to be found in the little details...
I took this one with a Pentax K200D on a cloudy day after a short rain shower.
The location is NDSM, an old decommissioned shipyard on an island at the heart of Amsterdam. This place is actually really inspiring for photography: with old empty industrial buildings covered with graffiti, it has a post-apocalyptic edge. When I was there, I felt projected in John Carpenter’s New York 1997!

They are like little liquid crystals that hide their own little secret world in it which you can see if you watch through them. Like you can do when you look at your photo!
