B&W Photo Contest: Silhouette Sunset
You just can't help but stop and stare!
Sunset within 10,000 Islands National Park!
This was the view when we made first made landfall on our last trip to this gorgeous destination. Prior to setting up our tents with the aid of a bright campfire we took a moment to enjoy the spoils of our multi-hour paddling expedition into the depths of this coastal Florida wilderness.
When I saw 'silhouettes' as the latest topic for the weekly #bwphotocontest hosted by @daveks and this week's guest judge @mweich recent photo of mine immediately came to mind. I liked this shot enough to get it printed and framed, the contest sparked the question if it would look good black & white...? you tell me
These photos were taken during one of my annual trips to the deepest woods in the south...the Florida Everglades. This trip has become a tradition for myself and a few friends who usually come along.
Usually we will camp inland for a few days deep in the bush and eat fresh fish easily caught from a few secret honey holes I know of. Sometimes when our party consists of those more experienced in outdoor activities we will make the 8-mile or so paddle out with gear to a remote island to camp for a few days. When we do, the view from your tent door is amazing!

Me and my hubby with couple of friends had a great time kayaking and I think it was two years ago. We had a picnic on one of the wild islands in Wisconsin. Unfortunately we didn’t sleep there. Hmmm maybe we should. Awesome post. 🎄
