Yes, memories does help a lot.
And usually we think and act with feelings. But sometimes other ones don't do that because they may not know the story or they don't care. I say that to make you aware about everyone else reaction.
Don't be upset about their reaction. Just do what you like and maybe show them less.
Posting here it may help you more and make a bit more organized, plus the fact that you remember those good moments ;-)

I treat all comments as an opportunity to learn to improve. :) I cannot please everyone. But at the very least I make sure the basic context of the photo is presented. Then I just hope people will like them. 😀

Yes, we never can't please all.
And this is not the purpose.
Creativity always comes from having other people vision and maybe disagree. But in a good manner.
About liking, as i said many times, i like to see and when possible to hear what they see in some different photos. Lot of times even my girlfriend saw something completely different from what i see or what i intended to show there.
And that is so much fun and gives lot of new ideas.
