Built as a department store in 1948-54, designed by architect Mark Leykam. The building has 9 floors and is characterized by a centrally located spiral staircase. This is the first building in Poznan built of prefabricated. At first, due to its form, it generated great controversy because it was very prominent among classicist and secessionist tenement houses. After years, everyone has made it and this magnificent work of modernism has become one of the city's must see. In 2005 he was awarded the prize of the best half-century building in 1955-2005 in Poznań.

Wybudowany jako dom towarowy w latach 1948-54 według projektu architekta Marka Leykama. Budynek ma 9 pięter i charakteryzuje się centralnie położoną, spiralną klatką schodową. Jest to pierwszy budynek w Poznaniu zbudowany z prefabrykatów. Początkowo ze względu na swoją formę wzbudzał duże kontrowersje ponieważ mocno wyróżniał się spośród klasycystycznych i secesyjnych kamienic. Po latach każdemu się opatrzył i to wspaniałe dzieło modernizmu stało się jedną z wizytówek miasta. W 2005 roku został uhonorowany nagrodą najlepszego budynku półwiecza 1955-2005 w Poznaniu.
