I took this photo 5 years ago in Arad, a city in Romania!
I liked very much the contrast of his outfit, It looks to me like a Al Capone retiried!
I used a Canon 5D mk 2 and Canon 100-400 mm L lens

The contrast is really strong, sadly you could not capture the shoes too :)
:) i didn't want that becouse i used a american plan for this photography @bescouted
This is not critics, photographer decides how to shoot 100% of time. What i meant is that i am intrigued what shoes was he wearing :) And when image raises questions it is great work :) By the way , in short, what is american plan? Never heard of it yet.
It's called "American plan" because they started shooting like this for Western films, to show the character and their pistols hanging from their belt.
I didn't took this as a critic, i am very glad when someone has a point of view ;) @bescouted
@georgian, you know @bescouted is quite right this time. If you wanted to emphasize contrast, than his shoes would be a crowning point! Whatever he had on his feet, or if he was barefoot, that would be most interesting to see. Photo is unusual enough as it is, I upvoted it, but there is a sense of a missed chance :)
@georgian is just teasing us on purpose. Do you have an image with the shoes lol ? Many thanks for the explanation, and it was not supposed to be critics just my curiosity about boots of this gentleman. I am shoe addict lol
Lol i am not teasing you ! I agree with you but all that i want you to understand is that i wanted the photo as it is, i didn't miss the shot, the man was about 150 m away, i was able to take a picture with him from head to feet but i didn't :) that's all

No, i totally get it once you have told me about the "American plan" and that this was your explicit intention. Just soooo curious what the picture would have looked like while in full height. just can't help it. And i am stating once again. If an image invokes such emotions it is a great image!
What i like the most in photography is the time and the moment, i am glad that we talked about "what if" :) for me that represents the moment a single shoot and that's it...it has passed! Thank you very much ( maybe my english is not perfect but i hope that you understand what i meant ! Hugs to you

It's a good photo @georgian, will be in the DPS, but you always take a whole figure, and then crop as you wish. Upvoted & resteemed, of course. Keep up the good work.
