RE: B&W Photo Contest — Geometric Shapes — entry #1 — the windmill

That's not a windmill... It's a giant! Sorry... Don Quixote moment, there.

Nice composition! The walls look pretty thin on that windmill. Was it functional, of more decorative?

I don't know that story....lol. but no, it's not a working windmill. It's about 10 feet high maybe? Probably a decorative thing at one time. It was in an area where things are piled and told their purpose is done. Remember Toy Story? Like that. So sad.

:)

Awww! You could "rescue" it and put a light inside it! I was going to say that it looked a lot like a mini golf windmill.

As for Dn Quixote, the windmill excerpt is probably the best known part of the book. He attacked the windmills, believing them to be giants. The windmills won.

lol....giants eh? What an imagination!!

Yes it does look like a mini golf windmill. You're right. I should remove relocate and repurpose it....I'd love this in my yard. I'm environmental if I want to be.

It would look spectacular, surrounded by flowers and internally lit! I wonder if the blades spin...
