B&W PHOTO CONTEST – Church of Simeon the Stylite (Entry II)
The prototype of the Church of St. Simeon the Stylite was the temple of John the Baptist from the former Ivanovo monastery, now not preserved.
The construction of a stone church on the site of the wooden church of the same name was begun in 1725. During the great fire, the temple was badly burnt, after which the reconstruction of the Ustyug merchant I.Kurochkin began, which ended in 1765.
The Church of Simeon the Stylite has no analogies in Russian architecture of the 18th century.
Located on the bank of the Sukhona river in Velikiy Ustyu city, Russia.

I like how wodę angle it looks because of your panorama shot. Also cloud weather adds some mood to that shot. I haven't tried to make panorama with two rows. How you merge it together?
