"There were a lot of entries to sort through for this contest, which is great to see! The participation for this is phenomenal - so keep up the good work, @daveks! I had a tough time finding winners for this contest because there were so many spectacular photos. If you weren't chosen as one of the winners this week, don't feel bad at all. You're among a large group of skilled photographers and I can only hope to take landscape photos someday that are of the same quality as your own. You all kept me up late at night trying to figure out which photos I liked the most...and trust me, I liked a lot of them!

An absolutely stunning array of quality and unbelievably great photographic talent, but I can totally see why that particular winner was picked. The scene looks positively "alien" in appearance. The way it was captured was split second perfect to catch all those sparkling rays poking out from behind that huge rock.

Congrats to @shieha for taking the win and huge respect to all the other entries. Fantastic post, thank you for running this awesome compo. :)

I've just gone 'eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee' at getting an honourable mention amongst so many amazing photographers. Thank you @ats-david, @daveks and @papa-pepper for bringing this contest together. Congrats to all the other winners - stunning images as always.
