Goal Setting For New Property Investors | Quickly Build A Passive Income & Become Financially Free

(calm music) Hi, my name is Tony Law from Your First Four Houses, and I teach people how to build a small property portfolio that generates a great income for them so they can give up their day job if they wish, because they're now financially free. So, this is my Financial Freedom Fundraiser. (laughs) And yes, I should have called it something else because that's a ridiculous tongue-twister. But it's a really powerful tool that's gonna help you become financially free. This has helped a lot of people and if you take it seriously, if you put it to work for you, I promise you, it will help you.

Now, there's seven steps that you need to run through to fill it in properly, and I'm gonna quickly skip through these now if that's okay. So, step number one is to work out on average, what your monthly expenses are. To do this, download your bank statements and add up what you spend and really do try to be as accurate as you can be. Then, on the top of your Financial Freedom Fundraiser under income, write in this figure. This is your Financial Freedom Figure. When you hit this, you are technically financially free. Now, divide this number up by 10. Again, accuracy really does matter. And calculate the nine steps that you need to take to get you to your Financial Freedom Figure. And then fill these in on your sheet. Now comes the fun part. Step number four. You need to think up three really big treats and put these down the left-hand side of your sheet. Holiday isn't good enough.

Try to be very specific. Choose treats that are gonna really, really motivate you so that when you've gotta make a whole lot of phone calls to estate agents and you don't feel like doing it, you can look at your Financial Freedom Fundraiser, look at the next treat and think to yourself well, I'm gonna make these calls because that, I really want that. You're now gonna stick your fundraiser up on your fridge, on your wall, on your coat rack, on your bungee cage, or wherever. It's gonna shout at you each and every day. And if you've got kids, make sure that they know all about it and where it is. Especially if the top treat is Disney. (laughs) Step number six. Whenever you do a deal that puts some regular monthly money in your account, you're gonna go and colour in your fundraiser. Step number seven. When you hit a treat milestone, you're gonna treat yourself. And you are going to treat yourself because if you've hit that milestone, I know you would've worked blooming hard to get to that point.
